The features of Aurus cabriolets, which are made according to the technical specifications of the Ministry of Defense to replace ZIL vehicles for the participation in the Victory Parade on the Red Square in Moscow, have become known. As the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, said, the Victory Parade convertible has a high level of unification with the Aurus Senat sedan. Aurus cars offer a combination of all-wheel drive and a hybrid installation, which is designed to meet the climatic and road features of Russia. The powerful V8 engine, created by Russian engineers specifically for Aurus vehicles, works in tandem with the productive electric engine. According to the Minister, the front part with a distinctive, memorable "face" at the front cabriolet is the same as that of the sedan; however, "everything that is over the front desk has undergone significant changes." So, in comparison with the sedan the contours of the body were changed significantly, if you look at the side of the convertible. The shoulder line was raised and together with the reduced by 20 mm ground clearance allowed to achieve a more “rapid” design. In addition, the size of the doors at the front car was increased to facilitate the landing of passengers in the rear seats, wrote the agency "TASS". The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade added that Russian-made moisture-resistant materials are used in the interior decoration of the car, which allows parades to be held in rain and snow. For weather protection, the car is equipped with a soft folding roof. As previously reported by Denis Manturov, Aurus cabriolets are planned to be released to the market in 2020-2021. Prior to that, they can be seen at the Victory Parade, but Aurus convertibles are not supposed to be for Russian officials.
