New vice-president of division Nissan Russia was appointed

From April 1st, 2019, Frank Torres has been appointed Vice President of the Nissan Russia division. In this position, he will replace Jim Wright, who, after 25 years of work in the company, is retiring.

According to the press service of Nissan, Frank Torres will be responsible for the company's main business results in Russia and the CIS countries, where Nissan is represented. His office will be located in Moscow, and his immediate superior remains Gianluca de Ficci, head of Nissan in Europe.

Frank Torres will also continue his membership in the European Executive Committee of Nissan. Before coming to Nissan, Frank Torres worked for 12 years at a company that is a supplier of the automotive and aerospace industries.

Prior to his departure, he served as operations director. Frank Torres joined Nissan in 2007 as a production engineering analyst. After that, he held several management positions, mainly on the Iberian Peninsula. In 2008, Frank Torres became the director of production engineering, and a year later he was appointed the operational director, responsible for managing suppliers. From 2011 to 2016, he was Managing Director of Nissan Motor Iberica SA. During these years his office was in Barcelona.

Prior to his current appointment, Frank Torres served as vice president of corporate strategy and director of software department of Nissan Europe, based in Paris.
