Moreover, every third car arrived to us from Japan (57.2 thousand units), and every sixth one came from Germany (27.7 thousand units).

Experts of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT have already reported that in January of 2019 the Russian car market showed a slight increase (+ 1%). At the same time, a market decline was noted in 40 regions of the Russian Federation.

Sales of new passenger cars fell the most in Chukotka (-25%). In the Yaroslavl and Rostov regions, the figure was -19%. Also, a significant decline (more than 10%) was recorded in the largest regional car markets of the country - in Moscow (-13%), St. Petersburg (-13%), Nizhny Novgorod (-12%) and Saratov (-12%) regions, in Tatarstan (-11%).

In the rest Russian regions, sales of new passenger cars showed a positive trend or remained at the level of January of 2018 (Mari El, Leningrad and Novgorod regions). Among the largest regional markets, we will note those where the market growth turned out to be double-digit. These include the Krasnoyarsk Territory (+ 62%), Kemerovo (+ 43%) and Novosibirsk (+ 35%) regions, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area (+ 15%), Tyumen Region (+ 13%), Moscow Region (+ 10%).
