Russians spend the most money for the purchase of KIA cars

According to the evaluation of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", in January - February 2018, the residents of our country spent 296 billion rubles for new cars. This is more by 28.5% than the result of a year ago. Most of all they spent for the purchase of KIA cars - 40 billion rubles, which is more by 67% than for the first two months of last year. We should note that the Korean brand by this indicator was ahead of the leader of the previous years - Toyota.

In turn, 27.6 billion rubles (+ 16%) were spent for new cars of this Japanese brand. The same number of Russians spent for cars of the domestic brand LADA (27.6 billion rubles) – by 42.5% more than in January-February of 2017. In addition, during the reporting period, residents of Russia bought Hyundai and Mercedes-Benz cars in the amount of 24.7 and 22.2 billion rubles, respectively. At the same time, this indicator grew by 44.5% for the Korean brand, and for the German brand - by 8.5%. The results of other brands are below the level of 20 billion rubles.

As the experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, the share of the five listed brands falls on about a half (48%) of the total amount of money spent by Russians for the purchase of new cars in the first two months of this year.
