Russian parc of cars: main indicators

Russian plant Nissan has started a test assembly of the updated Nissan X-Trail

Nissan announced the beginning of a test assembly of the updated X-Trail at the plant in St. Petersburg. The car in the Russian version will have a number of differences from the European version. As the press service of the company reports, the main changes of Nissan X-Trail for Russia affected the chassis of the car. However, a number of updates touched the design, and in addition, the model has a whole set of new options and systems that provide road safety, comfort and convenience in management.

To implement all these changes in the production at the moment, there is already an active adjustment of new equipment. For the production of new front and rear bumpers, new molds have already been designed, a tooling for a laser machine has been put into operation, on which holes in plastic with jeweler precision are made. Special measuring stands were purchased - to confirm the ideal geometry of the products. The updated Nissan X-Trail will be equipped with frontal radar. For its calibration, the equipment was modernized at the calibration station of the circular survey system.

This technology will allow the integration of the FEB (Front Emergency Braking) system, which helps the driver avoid collisions with obstacles during driving. The company also planned to expand the color range of Nissan X-Trail, which necessitated the reconfiguration of paint shop systems. The complete sets and technical characteristics of the car will be announced later. The serial assembly of the updated Nissan X-Trail was planned for September of 2018.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", Nissan X-Trail entered the top three of best-selling cars of Japanese brands in Russia in 2017. Meanwhile, in the 1st quarter of 2018, its figure was 5 255 sold units, which is less by 6.3% than a year ago.
