KIA increased sales by 44% in Russia in February


Russian dealers of KIA sold 17795 cars in February, which is more by 43.6% than in the previous year. For the first two months of 2018, 33097 KIA cars were sold in Russia, which is more by 45.8% than in the same period of the last year. According to preliminary estimates, in February KIA holds the first place among foreign automotive brands represented in Russia. At the same time, the market share of KIA is 13.7% in February and 14.2% in the first two months of the year, reports the press service of KIA Motors Rus.

The best-seller of KIA in the Russian market is the Rio model - in February there were sold 8979 cars (+ 27.7%), including 2132 new cross-hatchbacks Rio X-Line. The second place in terms of sales in the KIA line in Russia was occupied by the compact Sportage crossover, which was chosen by 2469 buyers, which is more by 67.5% than a year ago. The top three of the most popular models of the month also included the family cee'd with a score of 1539 cars (+ 1.3%). As noted, 9 out of 11 models demonstrated a positive sales dynamics in February against the background of figures in February 2017. The greatest growth was shown by the full-size frame SUV KIA Mohave (+ 939%).

One of the leaders in the KIA range of sales dynamics was the KIA Optima business-class sedan with a + 198% increase from February of 2017. Also, a high figure - + 176% - was demonstrated by the crossover KIA Sorento Prime. For the flagship crossover of the brand, February was the highest in terms of demand for the whole history of the model - 923 sold cars. At the same time, sales of second-generation Sorento were doubled (+ 101%) against the background of February 2017, which confirms the overall strengthening of KIA's positions in the D-SUV segment.

Significant growth was recorded in the corporate sales sector. In February, legal clients bought 2208 KIA vehicles, which is more by 78% in compare with the last year.
