The Russian car market in 2016 decreased by 11%

    In 2014, it was sold 87 million new passenger cars in the world, which is more by 3.4% than in 2013. Russia has 2.9% of the global car market and it is in 8th place in the world in sales of new cars.



In the second half of January, the prices changed at 17 companies


The analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted monitoring of prices for new cars, which covered all automakers officially represented on the Russian market. According to monitoring results, in the second half of January *, the prices for cars changed at 17 of them.

Several companies immediately raised prices for two or more of their models. So, the Japanese company Datsun increased the prices of the sedan on-DO by 1,1 - 1,6% and for the mi-DO hatchback by 1,1 - 1,4%. Another Japanese brand - Mitsubishi - increased the price of an off-road vehicle Pajero Sport by 1.8 - 2.3% and the crossover Outlander by 0.5 - 2.0%. Cars of especially small class Smart also received updated price tags: the ForTwo model went up by 4.7 - 34.7%, and ForFour - by 7.2 - 31.3%.

The French Renault scored even more, having increased the prices for the crossover Duster (by 1.7 - 3.1%), as well as the Logan sedan (2.0-2.4%), Sandero hatchbacks (1.6-2.3 %) and Sandero Stepway (by 1.4 - 2.2%). We should note also the Korean Hyundai, which raised prices for several models, in particular: Sonata sedans (by 1.8-2.4%) and Solaris (by 1.1 - 3.2%), Santa Fe crossovers (by 0.4 - 0.5%) and Grand Santa Fe (by 0.5 - 0.6%).
