    The specialists of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" made a rating of the models that were the leaders of the Russian car market in 1998 - 2017. If until 2016 they all belonged to the same brand - the domestic LADA, but now, for the last two years, foreign cars are the leaders on the Russian market.

Top-10 of best-selling new LCV in Russia

According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", it was sold 108.4 thousand new light commercial vehicles in Russia in 2017, which is more by 16.7% than a year ago.

The most sold model in the Russian LCV market is GAZ Gazelle NEXT, which accounts for about a quarter of the total. Last year 25.8 thousand units of this model were sold in our country, which is 37.6% more than in 2016. In the second place, with a large gap from the leader, there is UAZ 3909, whose market volume for the year grew by 19% up to 10.9 thousand units. Just slightly behind there is GAZ 3302 (10.8 thousand units, + 3%), which is closing the top three in the LCV segment. Then LADA Largus VU (8.6 thousand units + 33%) and Ford Transit follow (8.3 thousand units, + 68%), which demonstrates the best market growth in the top ten.

In addition to them, the TOP-10 of the Russian market of new LCVs included also Mercedes Sprinter (5,3 thousand units, + 26%), GAZ 2752 (3,4 thousand units, + 7%), GAZ 3221 (3.3 thousand units, -34.5%), UAZ 2206 (3.2 thousand units, -25.3%) and GAZ 2705 (2.6 thousand units, -10.3 %) in 2017.
