  • 28.04.11 Structure of truck production in Russia in 2010

During 12 months of 2010 Russian enterprises produced 150,400 domestic and foreign trucks, that is 65% more than a year ago. The production is still highly consolidated: three enterprises manufacture a little less than 80% of the cars. The share of GAZ is 47% of the total production in the country, the plant assembled over 70,000 commercial cars, that is 78% more than in 2009.

The growth in prices for new cars in 2018 may range from 5% to 7%

This year, cars in Russia can rise in price by 5 - 7%. The main factors of growth may be an increase in excise taxes on cars with a capacity of more than 200 hp and increase of the utilization charge by 15 - 17% from the beginning of 2018. This opinion was expressed by the director of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergei Tselikov.

"On condition that in 2018 the Russian currency will be relatively stable at the level of 55 - 65 rubles for $ 1, and if there is no devaluation of the ruble, which, in theory, should not be, these factors can give an average growth of 5-7%”, - states Mr. Tselikov. "I do not see the reasons for the further rise in prices". The expert also notes that to date no less than 50% of any car, including Russian production, is a currency component.

The fact that the prices for new cars in 2018 will grow, the main players warned in the last year. Recall that even in the second half of December, prices were raised immediately by 6 automakers.

We also note that according to a preliminary assessment by the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", in 2017 the prices for new cars in Russia increased by 5% in average.
