Hyundai became the leader of the Russian market SUV

According to the assessment of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", for 11 months of 2017 in Russia 547.3 thousand new crossovers and SUVs were sold. The largest share in this volume belongs to Hyundai - 12.5% or 68.2 thousand units. Thus, every eighth sold car in the SUV segment belongs to the Korean brand.

The former leader - French Renault - dropped to the second place. It accounts for 12.3%, which corresponds to 67.3 thousand sold units. The Japanese Nissan tops the top three in this segment (9.6% or 52.8 thousand units). On the fourth position of the rating there is another Japanese brand - Toyota (9.1% or 50.1 thousand units), on the fifth - Korean KIA (6.1% or 33.4 thousand units). The TOP-10 of sales of new crossovers and SUVs in January-November of 2017 also included: Volkswagen (5.3% or 29.1 thousand units), Chevrolet (5.2% or 28.4 thousand units) , LADA (4.7% or 25.9 thousand units), Lexus (3.6% or 19.5 thousand units) and Mitsubishi (3.5% or 19.2 thousand units).

As the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, the leadership of Hyundai in the SUV segment is largely explained by a wide range of crossovers, intended for the Russian market. In addition to the fact that the Creta model is the undisputed leader in its segment, it also belongs to the top-five of sold cars in our country.
