The Kazakhstan car market grew by 11% in November

Sales of new cars in Kazakhstan grew by 10.5% in November up to 4711 units. During the eleven months of 2017, the inhabitants of the republic purchased 41,698 cars and light commercial vehicles - more by 5.9% compared to the same period of the last year.

As the Automobile Industry Union of Kazakhstan “KazAvtoProm” noted, the main result of the year in the auto-retail was the completion of a market downturn that lasted more than two years: November was the seventh month of continuous growth after the recovery from the recession that swept the market in mid-2014. The transition to the recovery of the industry was provided by Kazakhstan producers, which significantly expanded the range of offers, as well as stabilization of the macroeconomic background and adaptation of the consumer to the new currency reality.

The leader in the Kazakhstan car market in November remains LADA, sold 947 cars - more by 31% than a year before. The second place was taken by Toyota, the result of which was 700 cars (-33%). The third position is kept by Ravon - 654 customers have chosen cars of this brand. Hyundai is the next with 451 sold cars, which is 32% more than in the last year. The fifth largest leader is still GAZ, whose dealers sold 316 cars (+ 20%).

According to the forecast of "KazAvtoProm", by the results of 2017 the car market of the republic will grow by 6% and pass the mark of 46 thousand sold cars. However, already in 2018, much more significant dynamics is expected, and in case of the stable oil prices, reached in the outgoing quarter, and the implementation of plans, outlined by the Kazakhstan car plants, the market may show the growth to 60,000 units in the next year. The third tranche of the state program of preferential auto loans and the development of the recycling program will provide significant support to the industry recovery.
