The new marketing report «ASSESSMENT OF THE FINANCIAL POSITION OF RUSSIAN CAR OWNERS AND THEIR PLANS TO PURCHASE A CAR IN 2019» presents the results of an online survey. The survey was conducted in January 2019 (together with the DROM.ru portal), and more than 7,000 car owners took part in it.

In the course of the study, data were obtained on the level of the financial position of Russian car owners (self-assessment of the financial situation of the family, credit load and availability of savings).

Specialists of the agency "AUTOSTAT" within the framework of the study "AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS - 2017. Motor Oils: Car owners' preferences" estimated such an indicator of popularity of motor oils for cars as a recognition level. Participants in the survey (more than 3000 Russian car owners *) were asked to indicate no more than three brands of motor oils, which they recalled spontaneously.

As the poll results show, the most popular among car owners is Shell oil: 52.5% of respondents could recall it without a hint, that is, almost every second. The second place by the brand recognition was the oil "Lukoil" (it was called by 45.1% of the polled), at the third - Mobil (40.5%).

In the five leaders there were also the oils of brands Castrol (27.3%) and ZIC (15%). The sixth place was occupied by the brand Motul (8.6%), the seventh – by Liqui Moly (6.7%). The eighth position is occupied by Elf (5.5%). Top ten of the most recognizable oils is closed by Total (4.6%) and Rosneft (3.7%).

Earlier experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" within the framework of this study have already analyzed the recognition of advertising of motor oils brands presented on the Russian market.

* This study was conducted through an online survey in October of 2017, which was attended by more than 3,000 owners of cars in 2016 and earlier years. The sample was based on quotas by sex (no more than 10% of women's car owners) and quotas on the basis of "age of the car", "geography of respondents' residence" (calculated based on the structure of the active Russian parc).
