Russian dealers of Ford began sales of models Ford Kuga and Ford Mondeo with an intelligent remote start engine Ford Remote Start, which allows you to start remotely and muffle the engine of the car. At the same time, the cost of cars with the new option will grow by only 3 thousand rubles, informed the press service of Ford Sollers.

At the Ford Kuga and Ford Mondeo, the Ford Remote Start system is available as standard equipment in the Titanium and Titanium Plus trim levels. Ford Mondeo in these trim levels is already delivered to dealers and buyers with the Ford Remote Start system; the Ford Kuga, equipped with a remote launch, was launched at the end of November. Previously, remote engine start, installed at the plant, was available only for Russian buyers of the flagship SUV Ford Explorer.

Analysis of the Russian market showed that remote start of the engine is in demand in other segments. The Ford Remote Start system allows the driver to start and stop the car engine without leaving home. The transmitter of the system operates at a distance of up to 100 m. To start the engine, it is necessary to press a combination of buttons on the fob, and the system will start the engine for the specified time - 5,10 or 15 minutes, after which it will automatically muffle. If necessary, the engine running time can be extended in 10 minutes increments to 35 minutes. The engine will not start if the alarm system is activated, the bonnet is open, the battery voltage is below a certain value.
