"PSMA Rus" will start the production of commercial vehicles Citroen Jumpy and Peugeot Expert in 2018

Kaluga plant "PSMA Rus" in the second quarter of 2018 will start the production of commercial vehicles Citroen Jumpy and Peugeot Expert by full cycle. Currently, the experts are completing the debugging of assembly lines, informed the press service of the PSA Group.

As noted, the decision to expand the range of cars produced in Russia is in line with the strategic plan "Push to pass" and it is aimed at strengthening the PSA Group's position in the Russian market, as well as the increasing global profits by 2021. It also explains the PSA Group's plans to increase the share of local production in the Russian Federation, as well as to open the "second turn", where they will assemble other models.

Let's remind, sales of light commercial cars Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy of new generation have begun in Russia in May, 2017. In the autumn, passenger minibuses Citroen Space Tourer and Peugeot Traveler were on sale. All cars are produced at the French plant Sevelnord. Already in the first quarter of 2018 commercial vans Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy will complete the line of cars localized by the PSA Group in Russia. Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy will be assembled at the Kaluga plant for a full production cycle. It is expected that the localization level at the start of production will be 50%.

"Already in the first quarter of 2018, the plant in Kaluga will begin the production of Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy trucks, later they will be joined by passenger Citroen SpaceTourer and Peugeot Traveler. We believe that the presence of medium-sized vans on the market will allow us to meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises that will develop actively in Russia with economic recovery," - commented Christophe Bergeran, Executive Vice President of the PSA Group, Chief Operating Officer for Russia and the region of Eurasia and the CIS.
