Import of cars fell by 7% for 9 months


Import of cars to Russia for the first nine months of 2017 fell by 7.2% to 183.4 thousand cars. According to the data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, in the reporting period, it was imported cars worth $ 4,692.6 million to Russia. At the same time, 172,8 thousand cars were imported from non-CIS countries for 4 million 614.6 million dollars, from the CIS countries - 10.6 thousand cars for 78 million dollars.

Imports of trucks grew by 42.4% to 19.8 thousand cars worth 1 billion 400 million dollars in January-September. Among them, 16.6 thousand trucks for $ 743 million were delivered from non-CIS countries, the rest 3,2 thousand vehicles for $ 657 million - from the CIS countries.
The export of cars from Russia for the first nine months of 2017 grew by 30.3% and it was 63.6 thousand units for a total sum of 1 billion 016.5 million dollars. At the same time, 28 thousand cars were sent to non-CIS countries for $ 521.6 million, to CIS countries - 35.6 thousand cars for $ 494.9 million.

Exports of trucks grew by 2.2% and it was 9.1 thousand vehicles for 188 million dollars. To the foreign countries it was delivered 2.5 thousand trucks for $ 76 million, to the CIS countries - 6.7 thousand vehicles for $ 112 million.
