The largest share of cars with right-hand drive is in Primorye, the smallest one is in Chechnya. According to the results of the research carried out by the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District a high share of cars with the right steering position is observed.

So, in the Primorsky Territory this figure is 84% of the total volume of the local parc of cars, which in quantitative terms slightly exceeds 700 thousand units. In other subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, the share of right-hand drive vehicles also exceeds half of the total volume of the parc. This is not surprising, as the right-hand drive cars are imported to Vladivostok from neighboring Japan and then they are sent to other regions of the Russian Federation.

However, the share of right-hand drive vehicles is rapidly falling as far the movement from east to west of our country. In more than 60 subjects of the Russian Federation this indicator is less than the all-Russian level (8.3%). These include the largest cities in Russia - Moscow and St. Petersburg, in which the share of the right-hand drive is at the level of 1%. The smallest indicator in the country was registered in Chechnya - 0.28%. This is equivalent to about 500 cars.
