    In 2010 the volume of the Russian aftermarket came up to 4.1 million cars. The share of LADA is over a third. Toyota, with 12% share is the leader in the foreign car aftermarket. Other brands did not exceed 5% level.

Ford Focus - is the most popular foreign car in the Russian parc

The analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" carried out a study of the parc of passenger cars in Russia as of January 1st, 2017 and it made a rating of the most popular foreign cars.

According to the results of the survey, the leader among foreign cars in the Russian parc was Ford Focus - at the beginning of this year there were about 694 thousand units of this model in the country. Thus, the former leader Toyota Corolla dropped to the second place of the rating with the result of approximately 691 thousand units. The third position is occupied by Renault Logan with 608,5 thousand registered cars.

The top-five is closed by Hyundai Solaris and KIA Rio, which have sold 597.8 thousand and 555.3 thousand cars, respectively. The top-10 of the Russian parc among foreign cars, as of January 1st, 2017, includes also Chevrolet Niva (549,5 thousand units), Daewoo Nexia (420,4 thousand units), Toyota Camry (369,2 thousand units), Volkswagen Passat (367.1 thousand units) and Volkswagen Polo (357.9 thousand units).

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", the average age of foreign cars in Russia is 10.4 years, while this figure is lower among the American brands (9.1 years).
