The Central Bank will work compensation mechanism of CTP tariff increase for certain categories of citizens

Central Bank of the Russian Federation will work compensation mechanism of CTP tariff increase for certain categories of citizens, said the deputy chairman of the Bank of Russia, Vladimir Chistyuhin.

"We believe that such a mechanism we need to work out, we do not see anything wrong with it. Yes, it is possible that we will need to provide for less propertied citizens any discounts and compensation mechanisms", - the agency "Tass” cited Mr.Chistyuhin.

Recall, Russian President Vladimir Putin during a "straight line" on April 16th said that he will instruct the government and the Central Bank to consider the possibility to introduce reduced rates of CTP for needy categories of citizens, who are affected by the tariff increase by 40-60%. Mr.Putin noted that the increase in tariffs was a necessary measure related to the fact that CTP policies at the old prices were not available in some regions.

At the same time, the Bank of Russia noted the return of the Motor Insurers to regions and an increase of the quality of sales after raising tariffs on CTP since April 12th. "Insurance companies, which are in our daily monitoring, show a positive trend as by increase of the number of offices and return to the central points of the region, so by improvement of the quality of sales. It is managed to solve the problem of solicitation with difficulty yet”, - said the deputy chairman.

Mr.Chistyuhin also stated that after April 12th (the date of the tariff increase on CTP), reduced dramatically the number of consumer complaints for this service. "From our point of view tariff increase that occurred must stabilize the situation on the market CTP”, - he said.
