AvtoVAZ improved the quality of its vehicles by 50% in 2014

AvtoVAZ’s President, Bo Andersson, since his appointment initiated a range of activities to improve the quality of cars Lada. As the press center of AvtoVAZ informed the publication "AvtoSreda", it was held audit and modernization of technology in the plant and suppliers. AVTOVAZ made Center Customer Satisfaction: plant specialists interact daily with customers, by initiating simultaneously the quality improvement of cars.

As a result, over the last year the company has improved the quality of cars by 50% - it is confirmed by the data of the sales and service network and direct response of clients. An important step was to work on improving the stamping and welding of body parts - according to AvtoVAZ, it affects not only the appearance, but also on the acoustic comfort and durability of the vehicle.

Last year it was eliminated brake squeaking on the Lada Granta and Lada Kalina, there is a new, less easily soiled upholstery on the Lada Kalina, it was reduced stress on the door handles of Lada Granta and Lada Kalina, it was eliminated the risk of peeling plastic moldings on the Lada Granta and Lada Kalina, it was reduced noise of fan heater Lada 4x4. At the same time, according to "AvtoSreda", the leader by improvements became Lada Priora: the number of complaints in relation to this model decreased 2.3 times. In 2013, 1,000 vehicles had 150 requests for guarantees in the first three months of owning of a car, and at the end of 2014 - 65 ones.

"Improving the quality of Lada Priora – is the natural result of extensive work carried out in recent years”, - said the director of the Center for Customer Satisfaction of AvtoVAZ, Andrei Soldatov. - Our engineers have implemented dozens of improvements, for example, customers very appreciated an increase of synchromesh resource at the gearbox. It was increased reliability of electrical equipment: LCD instrument cluster, generator, power windows, and audio system speakers. In addition, the role was played by the pipeline reconstruction and stabilization of production technology: today conveyor of Lada Priora operates without downtime, at a uniform rate, without staff turnover. All this had a positive impact on the quality”. 

AvtoVAZ is updating constantly the design of Lada Priora. So, in 2013, it was held facelift of car interior, with complex improved acoustic comfort. In May of 2014 Lada Priora received manual transmission with a completely overhauled switching mechanism and the more modern cable-operated instead of traction. And in October of the last year for the first time in my practice AvtoVAZ equipped a car with automated mechanical transmission (AMT). Lada Priora with AMT can move as in the regime of "automated" transmission, as well as manual transmission. In 2015, AvtoVAZ will continue to improve acoustic comfort of "Priora".
