Information that GM Uzbekistan will soon resume the deliveries and sales of Ravon cars is based not only on rumors. First, in March of 2019, it was appeared an approval of the type of vehicle for the Ravon R2 hatchback in the base of Rosstandart, and secondly, such sales had already begun in our neighboring Belarus.

According to the official website of the company, the export of models to the Republic is opened from April 3rd: the first lot has been sent. It suggests that the company has finally decided about its pricing policy and at this stage nothing prevents it from returning its “low-cost” cars to other countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. According to web site GM Uzbekistan, since the beginning of the year, cars produced in Uzbekistan have already begun to export to neighboring countries - Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

In Belarus, the Nexia R3 (re-faced Chevrolet Aveo) and Ravon R4 (Chevrolet Cobalt) are now offered. As "AUTOSTAT" already wrote earlier, in Russia an approval of the type of vehicle for these models is still valid (for R3 - until June of 2019, for R4 - until October of 2019). According to some reports, GM Uzbekistan is already updating them or even managed to do it.

Recall that the delivery of Ravon cars to Russia stopped in the spring of the last year. According to the data of the analytic agency AUTOSTAT, for the first quarter of 2018, the dealers sold about 1,500 cars of the brand every month, in April sales fell by almost a half and until the end of the year, obviously, there were sold only unsold stock. As a result, by the end of the year, sales of the brand’s cars were 5.5 thousand units.
